The Windows Performance Option helps us to increase our computer performance speed.
A computer has both Appearance and Performance. To these both, computer's RAM and Video Card Memory is shared. When we use more appearance options in our PC, it takes more from the RAM and Video card. So it reduces the performance of your computer. So if you want to increase your computer's performance, you have to reduce some visual effects or some times to terminate them. Lets see how to do this.
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Type "adjust visual effects" in the "Search" box and select "Adjust the appearance and performance of windows" from the results.

3. Then you will get "Performance Options".

4. In that window, you will see 4 options as,
i. Let Windows choose what's best for my computer
ii. Adjust for best appearance
iii. Adjust for best performance
iv. Custom
Normally, the 1st option is selected.
You can select the 4th option as "Custom" and check the options that you want. Unchecking visual options may help you to increase your computer's speed. But you will not able to notify the speed you obtained.
If you want to speed up your system more, choose the third option as "Adjust for best performance". It will change your computer to Windows Classic style and speed up.
If you want the former situation just choose the option 1 and click Apply and then OK.
